Bookshops and Survival Strategies

As a consequence of the crisis and the growth of e-commerce and the consumption of e-books, many bookshops all over the world have closed down in recent years. But, at the same time, lots of others have started up, in a very short space of time becoming prime movers. The booksellers taking part in this session take stock of their experience in their respective bookstores at a time when the fall in book sales, the growth of the market share of online stores and the increased offer of digital contents are threatening the future viability of their business and maybe even their very existence.
