11 November 2015

Between 12 and 14 November, the CCCB hosts the meeting of Literature Across Frontiers (LAF) members, a European platform for promoting literature, translation and policy debate.

Literature Across Frontiers (LAF) is a European Platform for Literary Exchange, Translation and Policy Debate. LAF aims to develop intercultural dialogue through literature and translation and highlight lesser-translated literatures. LAF is based in Wales, United Kingdom, and work in partnership  with organisations and individuals across Europe and beyond on a range of activities creating opportunities for new literary connections, acting as a catalyst for collaborations and projects, as well as monitoring translation activities and debating policy in the field of literature and translation.

The Literature Across Frontiers platform brings together a range of partners, including a network of key national institutions and organisations engaged in the international promotion of literature, books and translation. The platform also includes partners such as literary festivals, book fairs, literary magazines and publishers committed to the advancement of international literary exchange and the promotion of literature in translation.

The CCCB, which is part of the platform through Kosmopolis-The Amplified Literature Fest, welcomes –from 12th to 14th November- a meeting which brings together representatives of 14 literary projects to launch the “Literary Europe Live” project, an initiative of joint work that has been admitted to the Creative Europe program of the European Union. Soon we will inform you of the conclusions. Meanwhile, we recommend you visit the website of LAF and the Literary Europe Live partners that, from different approaches, work for the sake of literature:
