Alejo Cuervo

Alejo Cuervo

Alejo Cuervo started out as editorial advisor at Martinez Roca, combining his work at Gigamesh bookshop until Roca was taken over by Editorial Planeta. He then set up Editorial Gigamesh. In 2001, he started to publish in Spanish the book series Game of Thrones, the longest lasting bestseller on the Spanish market. Thanks to the success of Song of Ice and Fire he has been able to unify his business, opening Europe’s biggest sci-fi bookstore in the centre of Barcelona and setting up the digital bookstore LEKTU, which operates without DRM at affordable prices. As an activist of #15M, he is better known as the evil Pope Alejo I, the villain of Fanhunter comic saga, created by Cels Piñol.
