Carme Fenoll i Clarabuch

Carme Fenoll i Clarabuch (Palafolls, 1977) has been Head of the Libraries Service of the Generalitat de Catalunya Catalan Government since 2012. She studied Library and Information Science (University of Barcelona) and Documentation (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya-UOC), and has postgraduate studies in documentation and a master’s in cultural management. She is currently documentation study tutor at the UOC.

Fenoll started out as a librarian at Pineda de Mar and Poblenou libraries. In 1999 and 2000, she was director of Banyoles Library and, from 2000 to 2012, Palafrugell Library. In her career as a librarian, she set up projects like Arteca (loan of artworks), Bibsons, Wiki Loves BibliotequesCAT (collaboration with Viquipèdia, Wikipedia in Catalan), 10×10 (meetings of editors and librarians) and Biblioteques amb DO.
