Víctor Hurtado

Víctor Hurtado, born in northern Mexico in 1974, has lived in Barcelona since 2006. On his arrival, he started working as a literary agent, first at one of the foremost international agencies and eight years later, at his own, VicLit, which aims to discover and promote new Latin American writers for the world.

Hurtado was advisor to the National Directorate of Culture in Uruguay in the development and setting up of Books from Uruguay, business development manager at the Guadalajara Book Fair and editorial coordinator at Conaculta Nuevo León. As well as taking part in the fairs in Frankfurt, London and Guadalajara, he has also been to those in Bogotá, Buenos Aires, the USA (ALA and BEA), Jerusalem, Paris, Sharjah, Taipei and Turin. In some of these countries, and others, he has given workshops, talks and seminars about the book world.
