Anna María Iglesia

Anna María Iglesia holds a degree in Italian and another in Literary Theory and Comparative Literature, and a PhD from the University of Barcelona with the thesis “The narrative of the urban space and its practices. The Paris of the 19th century and the flânerie”. As a cultural journalist she is a contributor to different media – The Objective, El Confidencial, Nueva Revista, Mercurio, Altaïr, La esfera de Papel – writing mainly about literature and the world of publishing.

She is editor-in-chief of the literary magazine Librújula, where she is in charge of both the bimonthly printed edition and the digital edition. She is also a professional reader for publishing companies and a translator among whose works are the translation of Palabra de Lorca into French and Italian. As an author, she has published Ese famoso abismo. Conversaciones con Enrique Vila-Matas (WunderKrammer, 2019) and La revolución de las flâneuses (WunderKammer, 2019), a volume that brings together women writers, activists and flâneuse thinkers, which has also become a feminist manifesto to reclaim walking as an act of insubordination.
