A true superhero of the oral tradition, known by all the followers of the Poetry Slam circuit.
Payaso Manchego
This great poet, performer and presenter has been present on the poetry scene for many years and has been there from the start of the Poetry Slam movement in Barcelona. He currently presents Poetry Slam Barcelona and the Santako Poetry Slam every month. Furthermore, from his platform red927, he organises the Santa Coloma Spoken Word Festival and directs the laboratory for stage poetry creation and research LabRed927.
Although in the past he has published books, one day José Luis decided that since his field was oral literature, he did not want to show his work in writing. Thus, since 2006, he does not write to be read, but for the result to be listened to, since for him, moulding the sound qualities is very important.
