Dani Orviz

Poet, video artist, performer, caricaturist, and communicator.

In 2012, he was proclaimed European poetry slam champion after having won the national championship. The following year, he was awarded a bronze medal at the World Poetry Slam competition in Paris. He has published the poetry collections Mecánica Planetaria (Planetary Mechanics, 2010), Muere sonriendo (Die Smiling, 2012), La del medio de las Ketchup (The One in the Middle of Las Ketchup, 2014), Viejo caos Universal (Old Universal Chaos, 2015), and Massaslam volumen uno (Massaslam Volume One, 2016).

He has recited his poetry at festivals including Voix Vives (France), Ruunoviikko (Finland), Crazy Tartu (Estonia), Weiter Sagen (Germany), Sziget (Hungary), and Notturni di Versi (Italy), among many others. He has extensive experience as a trainer in the fields of performance and communication and has given master classes for prestigious national and international organisations. He is currently performing two of his poetics shows on national and international stages: “Mecánica Planetaria” (based on the book of the same name) and “Massaslam”.
