Víctor Santos

Illustrator and scriptwriter of comics, author of Polar, a tetralogy of graphic novels recently adapted for cinema.

Víctor Santos (Valencia, 1977) began publishing under the independent imprint 7 Monos, and subsequently at a host of Spanish and French publishing companies, creating over twenty graphic novels as sole author and as a scriptwriter for other authors. Since 2009 he has thrown himself into the American market, in a varied career in which he has drawn series such as Godzilla, Witch & Wizard and The Mice Templar, Furious, Marvel Axis, Black Market, Violent Love as well as graphic novels such as Filthy Rich y Bad Girls, always accompanied by scriptwriters of the stature of Brian Azzarello, James Patterson, Bryan Glass, Frank Barbiere, Alex de Campi and Mike Oeming.

His most personal work as sole author is the tetralogy of graphic novels Polar, a tribute to cine noir and to genre cinema, published by Dark Horse Comics and recently adapted for a cinema production (Netflix and Constantin Films). His accolades include six awards from the Salón del Cómic in Barcelona, two from the Salón del Comic de Madrid, and one from the Spanish critics for the best illustrator. In 2014, he was nominated for the prestigious Harvey Prize for his work on Polar.
