Carles Sora

Doctor of Social Communication from the Pompeu Fabra University, he is a specialist in digital media and interactive design.

Carles Sora is a teacher, researcher and designer of interactives interested in the new digital practices in culture and audiovisuals. His doctoral thesis was on digital temporalities in interactive audiovisuals.

He is lecturer in Audiovisual Communication at the UPF, where he participates as a researcher in the DigiDoc group. He was coordinator of the festival Artfutura and founder of the exhibition design studio Touché and of a postgraduate course in Digital Theatre (UPF). He has launched UPF Starting Lab.

He has directed artistic, museum and dramaturgical projects which have been exhibited at international conferences, festivals and centres such as CaixaForum, Arts Santa Mónica, Auditori de Barcelona, CCCB, ExTeresa (Mexico DF), the VAD Festival in Girona and the Méduse complex (Quebec), where he undertook a creative residency. He has also collaborated with artists such as Joan Fontcuberta and Jaume Xifra and gives lectures on digital theatre, digital museums and new interactive audiovisual formats.
