Diana Roig is an ICREA researcher and professor at the Open University of Catalonia, where she coordinates the Global Literary Studies research group (GlobaLS). Her research deals with global and sociological approaches to translation and literary history, and applies computational methods, gender perspectives, and a decolonial approach to the circulation of small, minor, and less-translated literatures. In the last few years, she has developed research in the field of ecological humanities related to translation, literature and cultural diversity.  

Roig has had an international career with stays at prestigious centers worldwide such as the Oxford Internet Institute or the Barcelona Supercomputing Center. She has received recognitions such as a Starting Grant from the European Research Council (ERC), a Leonardo-BBVA grant and a Ramón y Cajal grant, and in 2023 she became a member of the Young Academy of Spain. She has published many co-edited volumes, including Contemporary Global Thinking from Latin American Women. Writings from the Margins (De Gruyter 2025, with L. Fólica and A. Mota), or Global Literary Studies: Key Concepts (2022, with N. Rotger). Roig has been lecturer at very important venues such as the European Association Conference in Digital Humanities.
