Constructing worlds in faraway galaxies is the realm of science fiction writers, but also of some contemporary artists with a greater taste for risk and exploring new media of expression. In the DIY Cosmology cycle, several creators will start out from bricocosmology, which is to say the construction of future universes with visual and sound media, incorporating echoes and reverberations from the classics in the genre.
For the duration of Kosmopolis 21, Jaume Ferrete Vázquez, Enric Farrés Duran, Ariadna Guiteras, Laura Llaneli, Quim Pujol, and Rosa Tharrats will land in the bookshops of central Barcelona to change the usual dynamics of these spaces with their sound, performance, and visual installations based on the classics of science fiction in a programme of artistic creations curated by Alicia Kopf.
