The Art of Creating Books for Children
Born in France, Anna Castagnoli is the author of books that have been published in Spain, Italy, France, and Belgium, among other countries. She also teaches courses and writes essays, and since 2008, she has been responsible for LeFiguredeiLibri.com, a blog about studies and research on children’s picture books, which has become a reference in the sector. In 2014, she served as a member of the jury for the Illustrators’ Exhibition at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair and in 2017, she published Manuale dell’illustratore [The Illustrator’s Manual] (Editrice Bibliografica), a complete guide to the profession of children’s book illustrator. Currently, she teaches Illustration at the IED in Turin and for the Mimaster in Milan, as well as History of Illustration for the Master’s degree “Children’s books & Co. Editoria per ragazzi e crossmedialità”, at the Catholic University of Milan.
