Return to Mequinensa: 20 Years Since the Death of Jesús Moncada
Artur Garcia holds a PhD in Philology and is a specialist in contemporary Catalan literature. He graduated from the University of Barcelona and worked for three years at the University of Zadar (Croatia) as a professor of Catalan. He has published the book Memòria, oralitat i ironia a la narrativa de Jesús Moncada (Gara d’Edizions, 2019), an in-depth investigation of the work of the writer from Mequinensa, which received the Jesús Moncada Award in 2018, and the memoir Partint de Zadar (Pare Colom Prize 2022, Lleonard Muntaner Editor). He currently works at a secondary school teaching Catalan language and literature and publishes literary criticism in the digital magazine La Lectora.
