Pol Guasch

A writer, cultural producer and researcher, he is author of the novel Napalm al cor (Napalm in the Heart), winner of the 2021 Llibres Anagrama award.

With a degree in Literary Studies and a master’s in Construction and Representation of Cultural Identities from the University of Barcelona, he has also taken part in the Independent Studies Programme of the Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art (MACBA). He has been an associate lecturer in Literature and Culture Criticism at the University of Barcelona and presently has a study grant with which he is researching into contemporary theory and literature at King’s College, London. He is part of the cultural production group La Sullivan with which he has worked with the CCCB on such educational and cultural projects as Journey to Mars. In 2018, he published his first collection of poems Tanta gana (So Much Hunger, LaBreu Edicions), which received the Francesc Garriga award and, three years later, he was awarded the López-Picó prize for La part del foc (The Part of Fire, Viena Edicions, 2021), and also the Llibres Anagrama Prize, thanks to which he published his first novel, Napalm al cor (Napalm in the Heart), a dystopian tale imbued with a poetic gaze and described as a work of science fiction that explores and dwells in the present.
