Fictions and Dissent
A Galician writer and playwright from Mexico, Eu son monte [I Am a Mountain] (Euseino?, 2024) is her first novel, written in Galician, a language she learned during her time in Galicia. The work constructs a narrative that blends the migratory experience with rural life in Galicia.

Fictions and Dissent
Born in Mexico City, Sara Guerrero emigrated to Galicia, where she has worked as a journalist and literary critic for El Salto Diario. She created the blog Rehabitar o rural [Restoring the Countryside] for the same outlet, which aimed to highlight experiences and knowledge from the rural world in Galicia through reflections and storytelling. Additionally, she was the coordinator and promoter of a project to recover community memory through theatre workshops held in various towns in the province of Pontevedra.
She has also collaborated with Pikara Magazine, writing about migration and feminism. As a playwright she has been selected for several theatre festivals in Galicia, including the MITEU in Ourense and the FIOT in Carballo. In 2022, she was awarded a young artist’s grant from INJUVE to develop a research project on literature produced by migrant women in the Spanish State.
