Lee Hong

South Korean literary agent and writer based in Paris. She is the director of Soseol, an agency dedicated to promoting the work of South Korean writers abroad.

Lee Hong represents authors such as Pyun Hye-young, Yun Ko-eun, Chung So-hyun and Choi Eun-mi. She has also given lectures and workshops on Korean literature in places such as the Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales (INALCO) in Paris, the University of Leiden (Netherlands), the University of Aix-Marseille, and the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.

As an author, she has published five books, including her debut novel, Girlfriends (2007) and her third book, Gangnam Lady (2010), which was published during the first half of 2025 in Chile and France. Originally from Gangnam, Seoul, Lee Hong uses this setting, present in many of her novels, to explore the dynamics between Korean society and women. In May 2023, she was a resident at Faberllull Olot, and she is currently working on her next novel.
