Marisol López (Barcelona, 1963) is a cultural manager and is specialised in the digital sector. She works in the Catalan Government’s Ministry of Culture where she manages the Digital Culture Area at the Institut Català de les Empreses Culturals (Catalan Institute for Cultural Enterprises, ICEC). The ICEC takes “digital culture” to mean that culture born of the relationship between humans and the new technologies of the information era. It includes all the intersections possible between traditional artistic languages and the tools of the digital world that result in innovative mutations of classical forms of expression. The main objectives of the Digital Culture Area are to create links between culture and technology, working with digital enterprises and helping the cultural sectors to make the digital change.
