Uxue Alberdi, Miren Amuriza and Nerea Ibarzabal
Born in Berriz, Biscay, Miren Amuriza entered the world of bertso from a very young age. She is a professor at the University of Mondragón, where she also teaches bertsolaritza and actively participates in the Bertsolaris Association. As a writer, she published her first novel, Basa (Elkar, 2019; consonni, 2021, in Spanish), the story of an elderly woman from the rural world who rebels against the dissolution of her world, as a recipient of the Igartza Prize for New Voices. Pleibak (Susa, 2024; consonni, 2025, in Spanish; Club Editor, 2026, in Catalan) is her second novel, a story of friendship set in a rural landscape. Amuriza has also been a collaborator with various media outlets and has written several books for children, such as the illustrated albums Bainera bete itsaso [A Bathtub of Seawater] (Elkar, 2016) and Anastasini zirkua [The Anastasini Circus] (Denonartean, 2024), among others.
