Jo Nesbø

Jo Nesbø (Oslo, 1960), a graduate in Economics, is a novelist and musician, although he has also worked as a journalist and a stock market broker. His literary career began in 1997 with the release of the first novel in the crime series featuring policeman Harry Hole.

His work, translated into fifty languages and acclaimed by critics the world over, has led him to earn a host of accolades and honours, including prominently the Best Norwegian Crime Novel Ever Written for The Redbreast (Harvill Secker, 2009), various awards for the best novel of the year and nomination for the Edgar Awards of 2010 for Nemesis (Harper, 2009).

Nesbø is the creator of Occupied, a television set in the near future in which Russia is tasked by the European Union to begin the invasion of Norway, which has paralysed the production of crude oil and gas because of the climate change crisis.
