Núria Bendicho Giró, who has a degree in Philosophy, is a voracious reader, admirer of William Faulkner, and spent her youth travelling and reading in libraries. Her first novel, Terres mortes (Dead Lands, Anagrama, 2021; also published in Spanish by Sajalín Editores 2022), is a gothic family story in which the rural landscape is one of the characters, translated into several languages. This debut work was among the finalists for the Llibreter, Òmnium, and Finestres prizes.
