Nico Roig (Barcelona, 1976) is a guitarist, singer, composer and lyric writer. He studied jazz and composition in Barcelona, and continued his studies at the Conservatoire of Liège. Resident in Brussels, he played in bands such as The Crappy Mini Band, Rabbit and Os Meus Shorts. Back in Barcelona, he recorded his first solo disc, Tonada del genoma humà (Amniòtic, 2011), which combines disturbing lyrics with a highly personal sense of humour. In 2013, he brought out Les dones macabres, also on Amniòtic, which explores his dark yet innocent world in songs like “Tocadiscos”, “La gamba” and “Pitjors moments”.
