Eugene Kelly

Leader of the band The Vaselines, he has collaborated with some of the most important groups on the international music scene in recent decades.

Eugene Kelly (Glasgow, 1965) is head honcho and frontman of internationally renowned Glasgow band The Vaselines – one of Scotland’s finest musical exports. They were lauded by Kurt Cobain as ‘my favourite songwriters’ and have had Nirvana cover several of their songs to great acclaim. Touring and performing all over the globe with the likes of Belle and Sebastian, Teenage Fanclub, Nirvana, The Lemonheads and more, Eugene has also released solo albums, written for theatre and stage and fronted other successful bands including Eugenius (formerly known as Captain America).
