Kevin Williamson

Poet, rhapsodist, editor and activist, founder of Rebel Inc and artistic director of Neu! Reekie!, one of the outstanding cultural projects on the Scottish scene today.

Kevin Williamson (Caithness, Scotland, 1961), co-founder & artistic director of Neu! Reekie!, is a writer, publisher, and activist. This previous winner of the Robert Louis Stevenson Award, with one full collection under his belt, has published and performed his poetry across Europe, the USA, New Zealand, and in Tokyo. He has performed to support bands such as Primal Scream and Young Fathers, as well as being a long-time collaborator with Irvine Welsh.

A nationally known performer of Robert Burns’ poems, his one-man Burns show ran at Edinburgh Fringe in 2012 to critical acclaim. He was founder of the notorious Rebel Inc publishing house and co-founder of Bella Caledonia.
