  • Blind Vaysha

Theodore Ushev / Canada, 2016, 8’13’’, Original version with Catalan subtitles

Based on the short story Blind Vaysha by Georgi Gospodinov, this film by Theodore Ushev explains the story of Vaysha, a young girl born with one green and one brown eye. Her left eye sees only the past; her right, only the future. Like a terrible curse, Vaysha’s split vision prevents her from living in the present.

  • Un encanteri

Lluís de Sola / Spain, 2014, 15’, Original version

Based on verses from The Sorcerer’s Apprentice by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Lluís de Sola presents what he calls a strange divertimento, elaborate in form and idea, which intimately explains the mysterious events that happened in Cerbère not long ago, when a young man visited the town to do a bit of filming. Sights set on the trail of this film, like an enchantment that hangs in the air and echoes there, a small voice relives, imagines and invents a small but telling episode in the life of the town, an anecdote raised to the category of myth.
