Carmen Ospina
Carmen Ospina is Director of Digital Strategies and International Business Development at Penguin Random House, and is responsible for developing digital marketing projects to find out more about the end consumer; launching eBooks, apps and, more recently, audio books; promoting digital sales in shops, libraries and institutions all over the world; and developing new business, as well as the recently launched self-publishing platform www.megustaescribir.com. Ospina was involved in creating Libranda, the largest digital distribution platform in the Spanish-speaking world, and is responsible for negotiating with digital channels and new business partners.
Born in Colombia, she lived in New York for eight years, during which she edited Críticas Magazine, created by Publishers Weekly and devoted to the Spanish-language book market in the US, and worked as a journalist for World Press Review and NY1 Noticias. She has lived in Barcelona since 2006.
