About Sebaldiana

Sebaldiana is the digital magazine produced to accompany the exhibition Sebald Variations, about the work of the German writer W.G. Sebald (1944- 2001) and his connections to and influence on different artistic and literary projects.

The aim is to contribute to the dialogue the Sebaldian universe has generated among a substantial number of contemporary writers, critics, artists and thinkers since his first book, After Nature (Nach der Natur), was published in 1988. It seeks to build a bridge between the works on display in the exhibition, which are more akin to the visual essay and other artistic practices, and the literary nature and narrative devices developed by the German writer.

You can read more about Sebaldiana on the introductory post written by the blog editors Jorge Carrión (Sebald Variations co-curator) and Mario Hinojos.
