Raquel Lima is a young author and Poetry Slam movement activist. She participated in the Festival do Silêncio 2011 and took first place at the third edition of Poetry Slam Portugal. She has been invited to international Poetry Slam events in Italy, France, Poland, United Kingdom, Belgium, Sweden, Brazil and São Tomé and Príncipe. She is also the organiser of events and a workshop trainer for Poetry Slam. In addition, she promotes and organises various slams in Portugal, such as the general coordination of PortugalSLAM! She has collaborated through artistic residencies and on projects such as Palavra Dita, and has published her poems in various anthologies. She is a member of the instrumental spoken word group TAPETE and founder of the cultural association Pantalassa, as well as being a graduate in Artistic Studies from the Facultad de Letras and working as a producer.
