With Eyes of Salt: Poetry and Music in Three Movements

We’re on a boat, a catboat, a sailboat, a canoe, or on a raft, perhaps. The thing is we’re on the high seas, and we have no nautical chart or sextant to measure the distance of the stars, and no compass either. The only instrument we have to guide us is the word. The challenge is this: letting ourselves be swept away by the tides, which is the same as slipping between the waves and being guided by the voices of musicians and poets. We have to make sure we are not shipwrecked, that we reach port, and this means looking at the sea with other eyes. With eyes of salt.

Anna Ferrer, Clara Fiol, Niño de Elche, Nil Ciuró and the voices of several Catalan poets will meet to offer three acts, three movements, three independent seas which, coming together, offer a voyage by boat to the verses that have been able to bring the sea to a poetry book.

Activity curated by Mireia Calafell.
